We have recently completed the sale of a 1.6 acre cleared site will full planning consent for 28 residential units at Moat Street in Wigston, Leicestershire.
The property was marketed at £1.25 million on behalf of local landowners and, following a short period of local and national marketing, a sale was agreed to Jelson Homes.
From our point of view the sale was one of the smoothest land transactions we have conducted for many years. Many house builders can be extremely difficult during negotiations seeking to caveat their position, invoke conditionally and “chip” agreed offers.
Jelson were the complete opposite – they did exactly what they said they would, taking a mature, professional view on issues that arose during the legal process and keeping to the very strict timetable for exchange and completion.
It was a pleasure to deal with Jelson and we will certainly be putting more sites their way.
