I’m sure nobody’s noticed, but I haven’t posted on here for quite a while. But I do have an excuse.
For the past two and half years I have been through the medical mill dealing with prostate cancer. The doctors have thrown absolutely everything at it – an operation, radiotherapy, hormone therapy, and chemotherapy.
At last, I have now finished my chemotherapy, and I have been given a positive prognosis. They can’t cure it, but they can control it, and it is now under control.
Not the best of times, and keeping up with work has been difficult. This is a problem when you’re a small company but our clients have been absolutely sensational in their understanding , patience and unending support.
Professional colleagues and opponents have been just the same. We work with and against some very talented advisors and no matter which side of the fence they sit on, they have all offered their support and good wishes throughout (although none of my opponents have granted any concessions, which is a bit disappointing!)
I don’t want to name names, but I have to mention the amazing Debi Owen for holding the Intali fort during my prolonged absences. Thank you, Debi.
I am truly humbled by the support I have received during this time. I want to publicly acknowledge and thank everybody from the bottom of my heart. Anyone that’s been through this process will understand how important that support is.
And to make sure this doesn’t happen to you (or your loved one), make sure that you (or they) get a PSA test. Do not take no for an answer from your doctor – insist that it is done.
Sermon over.
So, with all that behind me, normal service has been resumed…..
